Over the past weeks, we have been tested. People are filled with uncertainty about tomorrow. Panic and fear have gripped the hearts of those who have no hope. Everyone is being tested! Signs of the end times are everywhere we look: wars, rumors of wars, natural disasters, and disease surround us. The return of our Lord Jesus Christ is closer now than ever before.
In Hebrews 12:27 we are reminded that whatever is not built on a solid (tested) foundation will be shaken. What you have built your life upon will be revealed in these times. Will your foundation past the storm test?
The purpose of a test is to prove past development.
James 1:2-3 (ESV)
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
A foundation is truly tested only when pressure is applied. Outwardly the appearance may be pleasant to the eye. However, if it's structurally wrong, it will fall to its demise.
Tests in life come not to make you fail,
but to make you stronger.
Tests also come to the faith community. Don't be caught off guard, fellow Christian, when you are 'tested' by a co-worker, neighbor, or acquaintance about why you have such hope in all this turmoil. HAVE YOUR ANSWER READY!
1 Peter 3:15
...and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you...
This is a window of opportunity that has been opened for the people of God to share this Gospel message to an uncertain world. I encourage you, reach out to someone in need. The world is watching. Let’s pass this test.
So true 👍
